Huh. Never heard that from anyone... I'd love to ask someone at neo-geo.com, but...
On second thought, no I wouldn't. I guess I'll be content to never know for sure. :p
I believe some inserts are shitty/hack jobs, while others (possibly KOF 2000 US) are professionally done. Regardless, it is pure BS and not worth an ounce of investigation. :D
The sad thing here is people were willing to pay $1400 for a cart, simply because it was a "real" cart and not a converted PCB.
Highest price paid for a *legit* cart was some fucknut who paid $11,000 Euro a few years back for a copy of Kinuza Encounter that wasn't even fucking mint. Sad part is the fucking loser couldn't even give the cart the dignity for fear of damaging it of even plugging it into his Neo*Geo and playing it.
Sad.

There is got to be more than 1 of those Euro Kizuna Encounter.... Crazy fucker would pay that much for a game, must be rich. I like the game but even I felt guilty buying it for $200 way back when (the Japanese version that is).
I sold my AES collection for $20k or so, IIRC.
