Although Sony has yet to confirm a price drop officially, GameDaily BIZ has received confirmation from the retail sector that the PS3 will be dropped to $499 next week. Sony itself recently talked about "refining" the PS3 price. Now it appears to be happening.

They're still not selling me until they get more than 2 games worth playing on it, Ninja Gaiden not counting.

Some targets have already put this in motion.
I do really want a Blu-ray player and having a game system inside it would be kinda cool... I guess. But I'm still not biting, unless I get an awesome deal or a few "must have" exclusives hit.
