Mine was stuttering before the patch. I'd guess it's an issue with certain hardware since not everyone seems to be getting it.

My PC version runs perfectly and also makes me french toast.

my system is from july of '06 and i haven't had any stuttering at all. subtitles are still off with the speach but oh well.

Oh man, I just read about the cheapest tactic ever for taking down Big Daddies. I'm gonna spoiler tag this shit so you can't blame me for being tempted. :p

All you need is the Security Bullseye plasmid. Yeah, I know, most useless plasmid ever, since anyone who knows what they're doing hacks everything anyway, right? Only thing is, even hacked, cameras ignore BDs. Until you tag them with Security Bullseye. And it doesn't cause them to aggro against you, either - they'll just deal with the bots and then resume patrol, so you just keep Bullseye'ing til the BD goes down, no risk to you.

Oh, and regarding the mid-game turning point... shouldn't Ryan have rezzed at a Vita Chamber, since the reason they work for the player character is they're keyed to Ryan's DNA, which he (partially) has, being his son?

Does everyone not do that? That was the way I took down most of them once I got that plasmid.

I never used that one.

The Vita Chamber in Ryan's office is actually turned off.

I thought this was an excellent game. Great story, great visuals, and cool environments.

My small criticisms would be that the end boss is a wuss and the BD's aren't as tough as they could've been - or at least they should've been MUCH harder to take down later in the game. Overall, among the best the 360 has to offer.
