TNL's GotM: August 2007

I'm going to have to hold off until I beat both MP3 and Bioshock. I will say that I haven't touched Bioshock since I got MP3, and have been playing it at a much more voracious pace. Not that Bioshock wasn't amazing, of course, but personally, nothing warms my cockles like a good new Metroid.

I dunno why opinion on the Prime series has twisted around so much here. Last year, you guys voted Prime 1 as the second best game of last gen in that poll Yoshi made. Now everyone seems to want nothing to do with the series. Echoes wasn't up to pedigree, sure, but Corruption is much better (so far). It's akin to ignoring SMB3 because of SMB2.

Eh? What're you really talking about, everyone seems to be blowing the hate for MP out of proportion. In the thread Yoshi made, there was me, frog and maybe a few others who said we couldn't believe MP was that high up and I remember saying that the game bored me.

If you look in the MP3 thread, you've got me and Frog hating on the games with I think Brand X. That's all there's not like a massive amount of hate for the game, the same people who hated it then hate it now. (I wouldn't say I actually hate it either.. just.. it was boring)

This poll should be for second, in which case Stuntman should win. I have a feeling it's going to be overlooked though. It's really well put together.

Stuntman from the demo, is an awesome game.

Fuck this was one hell of a month. Everything got a good game (except the PS3 lolol).

Really though, why is SPF2 Turbo on there? I'm willing to bet it's, like, 70% emulation. At least swap that with Space Giraffe.

No Space Giraffe? That's easily the game of the month for me. It definitely should have made the cut over the EA garbage.

Puzzle Fighter it is, then. probably won't play Bioshock 'till it hits the $20 - $30 range

If Bioshock didn't come out this month, I would have voted for Puzzle Fighter HD. There were enough changes to the original game (X' mode, online mode) that it warrants a spot on GotM.

Nonetheless, Bioshock is incredible.
