I didn't play much of SoR3 but SoR2 is one of my all-time favorite games. I always wanted to play 3 but I never really got around to it, probably because most reviews at the time panned it in comparison to 2.
Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat Spo. I loved part 1 and 2 but just never really got around to part 3. I think I'll download it for the VC since I have 1500 points in waiting and I haven't heard anything about it coming out for Xbox Live.
It has the best gameplay in the series; unfortunately, everything else is weak in comparison to the other games.
couldn't find the buried Wii thread so i'm posting this here. for the Mac/Wii users, Wii transfer has been updated.

"Still interested in using the Nintendo Wii as a media center? Really? For the Mac lovers and Wii owners looking for another way to stream video to their television, Riverfold has released an updated version of Wii Transfer. In version 2.5, the developers have added drag-and-drop video streaming, background music for slideshows and the ability to use Firefox / Safari bookmarks via the Wii browser.
The program also lets you share pictures, music (as MP3 or unprotected AAC) and iTunes playlists. Sister site TUAW conducted an interview with creator Manton Reese. Wii Transfer 2.5.1 (Mac only) is now available for trial and $19 for license."
First Turbo CDs for release in Japan:
Gradius 2
Ys Book 1 and 2
Cho Aniki
Nice to see the Cho Aniki release, one of the Duo's better shooters if a little on easy side.
Sin and Punishment is hitting Europe too.
*EDIT* And after scanning Shmups, Gates of Thunder and Super Air Zonk are hitting in the US this month. *-neo
Super Air Zonk I can live without, but Gates of Thunder would be perfect for the VC. Any news on how many points TCD games will cost?
*edit* I just hope they don't use cripplingly bad compressed audio for these games, that could murder Gates of Thunder.
Also, TCD games will be 800 points. I can live with that for the good games, but there will probably be a few that I won't get that I would have picked up for 600 points or so.
I got Sin & Punishment, they've translated the menus and the training demo. All other subtitles are still in Japanese, controls feel funny/slow.
i will forever buy any release of Y's book 1 and 2.
