Dear Gizmada:
We here TrekStar were taken aback by the way our new MP3 player’s name “Killin’ Juze” was perceived by your users. The reaction caught us all off guard. The “Killin’” line of products was introduced 6 years ago and is second in brand name recognition only to the iPod, with product names like “Killin’ Silenz” and “Killin’ Tyme” it seemed only natural to name our latest product after the ““juicy”, sweet hits” that our target consumer is likely to be listening to. “Juze” was chosen as a hip and trendy misspelling of the word “juice,” giving us “Killin’ Juze.” Obviously, it isn’t our fault at all—the product name was completely innocent. Frankly, we’re ashamed in the public for thinking of us as hateful—you’d have to have a pretty sick and twisted mind to somehow find a way to look at the name as being anti-Semitic. We’re sickened! Regardless of our complete and total innocence however, we’ve decided to deviate from our usual trend, mostly to shut up the complaints and get you folks off our tails. The “Killin’ Juze” is now going to be the “Killr Juze” because this player is just that killer. That’s right; we went against our own pattern to keep the very part of the name that everyone was grumbling about because we’re very proud of coming up with such a gnarly misspelling of the word “juice”. Oh, and sorry. We’re not anti-Semitic, honest.
Don’t question us,
