Seconded. It's a marvelous racer, and you'll get a ton of value with it.
I had a blast with Lost Planet and FEAR, both of which should be $30.
Prey is a pretty cool alien FPS that's also cheap - $15 new @ Fry's last time I checked.

If you haven't played Oblivion, pick up the recently released GOTY edition. It includes all of the expansions and such.
Crackdown is awesome if you prefer just messing around and experimenting in GTA games, rather than just doing the missions.
Gears of War is a great third-person shooter. The singleplayer is a tad short, but it is awesome while it lasts. The multiplayer is great too.
Earth Defense Force 2017 is about as basic a third-person shooter as you can get, but it's awesome. There's nothing more to the game than shooting hordes of enemies, but that's what's so fun about it. Who needs a complex plot or unique gameplay when you can just blow up hundreds of giant ants?
BioShock is my GOTY candidate so far. Believe the hype. BioShock deserves every last bit of praise that it has received. Sure, a lot of the gameplay is basically System Shock 2 in a new wrapper, but SS2 never did combat this well.
Splinter Cell: Double Agent is another that I really like. Not everyone enjoys it, but I'm a big fan of the Splinter Cell gameplay and Double Agent is the first title to actively discourage going rambo and thus force you to use all the nifty stealth abilities you have.
On the XBLA side of things, Geometry Wars and Pacman CE are definitely the two best games.
Don't forget that every XBLA title and lots of retail games have downloadable demos. Give anything that sounds remotely interesting a shot.
If you're backing it up, I doubt it.
dead rising was pretty good Razor, were you sober when you played it? That may be the problem.
Stone cold sober. The clunky controls, the cheesy dialogue and repetitive gameplay made me zzzz for the time I played it. I got more fun out of Hexic.
dont forget they make most atrocious.
The only things ive REALLY gotten into playing
Oblivion
Gears
Bioshock
the rest i havent been totally into. If you like TR get legend, but its short. Dead Rising is good but it requires a lot of patience and be ready to feel like your failing 90% of the time. ummm....
yeah, beware BC games, because i dont think my 360 has been running any of them even up to par.
Something's wrong with your 360 then. A few of my games are wonky, like Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Mercenaries, but just about every other one runs fine.
I can't recommend Condemned enough. It's an incredible game, and only Bioshock does a better job of creating atmosphere, imo. Earth Defense Force is also an awesome run-'n-gun with a campy, B-movie feel to it.
