The article dole posted said his defense was that he was far too stupid to have convinced anyone of anything.

I meant to say, "Why did I think he was acquitted?" My mistake.
Besides impersonating a police officer, I don't think the guy really did anything wrong. I'm not advocating it in anyway, but in a legal sense? He played on peoples gullibility and stupidity. If that was a crime, well shit...we'd be all out of politicians because they'd all be doing life.
Inciting rape shouldn't be a crime?
Details, pls.
How that woman got a million and not time is fucking amazing.Quote:
Also amazing that the stupid fucking woman that kept the girl there and fucking facilitated this rape also sued and is now a millionaire. WTF.
I know rape doesn't have to be accompanied by force, but merely the threat of force, but this is a weird situation to call rape. By all accounts, it went like this:
"Blow me."
"B-b-but I don't wanna, mister."
"You have to. The guy on the phone says so."
"O-okay."
She was threatened, not with physical harm, but with possible legal ramifications from "Officer Scott." But anyone with an IQ over 15 should have known that this was fake and to just get up and walk out of the room. None of the reports say anything about her being physically restrained, or her being mentally handicapped (though I refuse to believe she wasn't). Despite the findings of studies like the Milgram Experiment, I just can't feel sorry for her.
What I'd love to know was if the fiancée bought "Officer Scott's" story as well and was just trying to be a good citizen, or if he was just looking to get a quick BJ from a teenager (probably both).
I saw the same Dateline story that Rumpy mentioned. here's some YouTubage of another news show on the incident:
Wow. That news video is just amazing.
It happened...last week I think. She sued MSG for sexual harassment (namely Isiah Thomas).
It basically came down to her saying that she was called a bitch and was fired. Seems like MSG lawyers thought it was a joke trial and didn't really put any effort into their defense. She's a complete beast and she won the lotto.

The whole story from what I read deeper about it was she was very good at her job, she put up with verbal abuse from Isiah and got very wealthy in pay raises for it apparently. Then he comes out and admits to having feelings for her, she rejects him, and gets fired for being bad at her job.
that's another side of the story I've heard.
I think I do remember reading about this, yeah.
