one is an awesome game. it's one of my top five playstation games. it's just great pure shooting and platforming action. it's one of those games where you can just pop in and play. a lot of people complain about the platforming aspect (jumps are too hard to make), but i didn't find them hard at all. for $5, it's a steal.

I think One is super-cool. $5 is a steal of a price. It's a fast-paced third-person adventure that has shooting, hand-to-hand combat, and platforming. Some of the levels are just amazing, esp. the rooftop sequence and the mountain level. The Rage meter is a fantastic power-up (the more you destroy, the stronger you become). The control's a little shifty, and the camera can be a little annoying (especially during the platforming/jumping bits), but it's a small price to pay for a game that's great fun. One has inspired level/character/enemy design, boss battles, cool weaponry, and great audio and soundtrack. I bought it full-price when it was released and have probably beaten it 20 times...I replayed it last week, in fact.

In fact, I'm hoping the new Contra is at least as good as One...

Well, If you will be getting One, check out Appocalypse, its another pretty cool action game, in style of One. Cool graphics, lots of action and firepower and interesting story.

PSX is, by far, my least favorite system that I own. These are the only games worth owning in my opinion:

Cool, I think I'll definitely be picking up One sometime next week.
As for Apoccalypse, any game with Bruce Willis can't be that bad........then again wasn't he also in that 5th Element game??

Too many. I'll leave it at that.

I've got around 50 games, I'm not going to list them all though. I've been playing nothing but Ape Escape for the last week, I'm almost finished catching all the monkeys and medals. wEEman33, you really should pick up a PSone, I mean anyone with a McJob can afford one now. Although you may just want to go for the PS2 at this point.
