my stance is that I hate cell phone games. Wanna know why? Playing on a screen with sub par graphics doesnt bother me. Its playing the damn thing with crappy controlls, and crappy gameplay, hell they dont even care about making a decent game experience.
The DS and Wii are limited yeah, but decent games can be made on lesser game platforms.
That being said, the Wii pisses me off more cause they could have totaly made the thing high def at least. The DS is a handheld so it gets at least a pass.
i play more games on GBA than anything. Also most of them are ports. I'm killing gaming because it isn't already dead to me anyway.
I got a new phone not too long ago. It's nothing fancy, but it's a little better than my last phone, so I did some research and paid for some games to play on it. Some of them are really, really fun. I've been meaning to make a thread about it, actually. It looks like you guys will eat it alive if ever do, but oh well.
Do it. Diner Dash is amazing.
Doom RPG is the jam.
I was going to mention that. I haven't played it, but I've heard it's really good, and not just 'for a cell phone game' either.
Of Course, that was made by John Carmack himself, so it isn't surprising.
I have Doom RPG and Geometry Wars on my cell phone. GW sucks hard :(
Cell phone games, in addition to being barely better looking than NES games, often have horrible controls. Doom RPG makes a great exception as it has you use number keys as passwords and is conducive to sort of turn based fighting.
I need to play through it again. I haven't found a chainsaw yet, and I suspect one exists.
I used to play it on the bus. Good time waster.
