Okay. Now, I've made a VOOT thread. Don't worry, while I'm a VO fanatic, you won't be seeing any Zidane-esque "I'll take a bullet for Kojima!!!" antics from me.
Okay, some things I wanna say:
Link cable Vs. - I recently picked up a DC Vs. cable. VOOT, using the cable, works like a dream. It's amazing to see just how much detail was taken out of some of the arenas for split-screen. And the VRs are now just as visible as they should be. It's actually easier to see some of the smaller projectiles, now. Damn Apharmd LT grenades... Oh, and having an idea of what's to the left and right of my VR is pretty nice.
Oratan.com - If your DC can connect to the 'net, please pop in the browser and head to www.oratan.com . Okay, now download some replays. Some nice gameplay, from the best VO player in the US. The replays from Kalxath, which are mentioned on the main page, are even better. Especially the Balbados Vs. Specineff one.
Virtual On: Force - It looks like Force will be half a step "backwards" from VOOM. No, that's not a terrible thing. I never really had the chance to play much Arcade VOOM, and the Saturn port is crap. So, if Force is going to be some mix of VOOM and VOOT, with four players at once, I'm not going to complain. Also, there are countless VR variations, a lot of which must be unlocked. Some are more "rare" than others, it seems. Looks like Hitmaker wants a collection thing going on. Oh, and one more thing: Force uses the card system. If a player uses up his card, (s)he can take it to the card terminal, and turn it into an AI partner. The partner is based on AI recorded from the player, somewhat like VF4. Nice.
