She can air combo. In fact, some of her artes you can only do in the air. Maybe jumping in to start an air combo would be good against bosses where getting in quickly, dealing damage and getting out is important, but for random fights jumping in will probably just see the enemy move. I still try it sometimes. Half the fun is being flashy.

I beat the giant shellfish in the cave and now have access to the oasis and desert. I read that to get a special item, I have to find the traveling caravan and speak to Rich again before I defeat the giant butterfly in the desert. However, the ship's crew won't let me reboard my boat right now. I could come back later, but who knows if the storyline will prevent me from reentering the desert at that point. :\ (I'm sick of these typical JPRG bottlenecks!! :curse: ) Anyway, can I find Rich without leaving the continent?

Okay, I'm dumb and need help. Yuri never gains TP anymore- he loses 1 for each swing, and gains 1 back if it hits. Everyone else simply gains TP for hitting things. I can't find anything weapon-skill wise that is making this happen and I have no special accessories. What the heck?
edit OKAY. Fun news time. I made it 15 hours into the game without ever noticing the Skills menu. Yeah. I have no way to defend myself. I even thought, several times, 'how do I change those skills my weapons earn?' but never investigated. Retard, right here.
Hey Nomi, don't know if you already figured it out but when you go into skills in the menu. You're able to turn them on and off depending on how much skill points you have. Just look at the top right hand corner; it should show you your total skill point. If the skill is on, it should be highlighted green, off; no highlights.Quote:

Also, some weapons do come with skills already set to them, when you learn them you are able to activate them. If the weapon is still equipped, the skills is active cause its weapons based, but if you switch to another weapon, you're gonna have to activate the skills. Hope this helps
I thing they're a little weak on the tutorials for this game. They don't tell you how to do EVERYTHING like manuals, combos, controlling other characters. Or maybe it's cuz I'm a tales noob?Quote:

Try checking the status menu (or whatever it's called with all the collection books and sysnopsis).
Hey, for 20 hours I didn't even realize the game actually showed you item drops, skills earned, and levels gained after a fight. Oops. :bang:
Ok...i'm like about 60 hours into the game right now and i'm going around leveling up my characters skills and experiences to gain new artes. Now that i have unlocked mystic artes for 4 out of my 7 characters, there is an issue i found with the AI. In Abyss, whenever an AI goes into Over limit, i can do one of their higher artes and then that initiates their mystic artes. The AI always does the artes when in Over limit.
I did the same with my characters in Vesperia and they don't do anything. Not burst or mystic arte :wtf:. I mean come on.....the AI is in OL 3, i'm doing an arcane artes, it should automatically go into either burst or mystic arte right!! :curse:. dammit, this is so frustrating b/c Abyss never had this problem; i would love to do back to back mystic artes; in abyss i would have Guy do his then right after he's done, i'd use Luke's mystic arte. It was great, especially if you're fighting a boss.
I love this game; it has an awesome story, design and pretty much everything else, but these little minor faults i'm finding are annoying.
