The only thing a recount would do for Ron Paul is determine how many commas he lost by.

People are in jail for this shit. It's not "conspiracy" - it's just a plain old STUPID idea - especially the touch-screen, no paper-trail, no way to recount machines.
It's our fault as citizens for even accepting anything other than public-view hand counted paper ballots. A NH Recount won't find crap anyway because they've already likely "corrected" the ballots if there is a fix.

I missed the Republican debates on Fox News, just caught the end where they stated that "Fred Thompson clearly won the debate," while the viewer poll at the bottom of the screen showed that 30+% thought Ron Paul won, almost double the percentage of any other candidate.
Yes, America has lost hope, and they think the best solution to their problems is for the government to give up and mail them back a refund. That's "winning" the debate with people, it's true, and this is why Ron Paul is doing so well with people, but it's really sad.
Government can make this a better country. Any situation which puts the power of a person beyond thier normal influence with voting comprimises the governments ability to work at a level equivalent to that of free market.
Beyond that, voting is an imperfect system becuase it always compares essentially two possibilities, the most likely and the second most likely. This is an easily manipulated system.
