Damn, what a coincidence. My brother came home last night raving about this game, had played it at a friend's house. I agree it's pretty cool, reminds me of this audio tetris thing I used to play a few years back.

Holy shit, I just had to sign up.

Though, looking at the popular song list, it's almost like he got 4Chan to do his beat testing. hahah.

Actually, 4chan managed to get a copy of it and found a way to stop the version from expiring by messing around with what server the game connected to. The thread was even stickied in /v/ for a bit. I think the audiosurf creator got mad and shut down the server though... That's why high scores don't work.

Just tried a private server myself.

This thing sounds like it should suck. Any music-oriented game with automatically generated charts tends to not do a ton for me (see: psp's beats), but this isn't really a music game. And it seems awesome.

One complaint is that it could use better aural/visual cues as to when things happen. A line on the track to clarify when something will collide with your ship, maybe a flash when your 'bomb' recharges on Ninja Elite, that sort of thing. More oomph to all the mechanics oriented stuff, really. It's not hard to follow, just a little annoying.

Hahah. Just for kicks, I took a ride on MegaUpload and RapidShit and saw that the game was indeed on there, but was taken down for violating terms of usage. Good ol' 4Chan.

This is awesome.

I wish this ran better. It eats up 1.5gb of ram on average and seems to run worse than maxed-out Crysis.
