Arcana Heart coming to the good old U.S. of A.

Wacky all-gal 2D fighter Arcana Heart is (very surprisingly) coming to the U.S., thanks to Atlus. Release day is set for April 8th for the not too shabby price of $29.99.

I still want to play this, even though I've heard very few good things about it. April 8th is pretty soon.

Someone bring the PS2 Hokuto no Ken game to the US. Assholes.

Watching some competitive play videos, it looks interesting, and I'll probably get it. But the small roster, lame character designs, and so-so animation are making me second-guess myself. Since I was borderline on importing it, I guess a domestic release is a sure buy assuming it stays $30 (but hopefully goes lower).

I... appreciate the effort. I don't know. I want to see the recent 2D fighters getting released here, but, uh, this one less so than pretty much all the others.

I was thinking about that... what other good 2D fighters are currently stuck in Japan? I know there's Melty Blood, but what else?

You're lucky we're even getting 2d fighters anymore. Jesus, all we do is bitch and moan that nothing is ever coming out, and then when something IS shown to be released we complain that it isn't the one that we want? Besides SNK's releases, there hasn't been shit as far as compitent 2d fighters on the home console market in a good long time. You should be happy we're even getting this to begin with.

Did not expect this one to be coming here at all! I'll pick it up.

I'd like to hear if the game is any good or not. Because it sounds like it would be kind of embarassing to own.

Matrimelee looked interesting. While not technically 2D, KoF Max Impact 2 Regulation A is another game I'd like to see on US shelves. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot outside of throw-away portable fighters.

To be honest, outside of that and Hokuto no Ken, I don't think there are many. Battle Fantasia is stuck in arcades, too, but that might be it.
