TNL's GotYs: official voting thread
The rules:
Basically, the way this is going to work, is everyone who is interested in participating in the TNL consensus will list, from one to ten, their top ten favorite games released in 2007. Every game released during the year is eligible --not just TNL GotM winners. Your choices must be ranked, from 1 to 10, with 1 being your Game of the Year, and 10 being your ninth runner-up. The rankings will determine the points given to each individual game; your #1 ranked game will receive 10 points, your #10 ranked game receiving 1 point.
This is obviously not going to be a standard poll as in traditional GotM threads; instead, I will manually go through the thread after it is closed 30 days from now, and tally up all eligible entries, and then along with February's GotM thread, present a massive thread containing our official Game of the Year, genre and platform awards, and, as I will get to briefly, several TNLer-submitted awards.
For an entry to be eligible, you simply need to copy this string of numbers, paste it into your post, and fill in the blanks with your choices:

Feel free to use the same choices you made in the top ten of the year thread, but you must conform the list to this simple standard. You may edit your choices any time up until I close the thread at the end of the month, so if you play a game from 2007 between now and the end of the month that you feel takes the place of one of your choices, you can change them at any time until the thread is closed.
TNLer-submitted award categories:
Part of what I think will make our awards special and unique to our community, will be what I hope turns out to be a bevy of creative, unusual awards that will be taken directly from TNLer submissions in this thread. The concept is simple: think of an arbitrary (or not so arbitrary) achievement that at least two games released in the year would qualify for, and I will pick several to be included in the award thread, along with accreditation to who submitted the category. I'm looking for very TNL-inspired choices here; they can be inspired from community in-jokes, TNL-member memorial awards, or simply revolving around styles or features of games that were big with TNL during the year.
I am going to nominate the first one, just to give an idea of the kind of thing I'm getting at (obviously, I'm sure you guys will come up with far more clever choices):
