Electronic Arts has announced that they have chosen Jarome Iginla to be their spokesperson and cover athlete for their upcoming NHL 2003.
"I played EA's NHL games growing up," said Iginla. "I'm really honored that they've asked me to represent NHL 2003 and it's cool to be a part of the elite line-up of athletes that have represented the EA SPORTS brand."
Iginla was a Hart Trophy finalist and Pearson Award nominee as a forward for the Calgary Flames during the 2002 season. He has also won the Art Ross Trophy and Maurice Richard trophy in past seasons.
"Jarome Iginla has made a significant impact on the NHL, which is substantiated by his many NHL honors," said Jeff Karp, vice-president of marketing for Electronic Arts. "Jarome represents both his team and the National Hockey League well and we're thrilled that he brings his excellence, enthusiasm, and knowledge to NHL 2003."
