ha ha ha ha, you just keep telling yourself that...

I put cleaner in a guy's pizza once. I've already told that story around here and it wasn't a civilian patron, but I did it.
That's wacky. I assume he deserved it hardcore.
Uriel is right, and you should all tip at least one or two dollars on this stuff, it makes a huge difference to people making minimum wage.
The people who work takeout in places that have takeout have to do all the work a waiter does in the kitchen with the food: pulling the food off the line and prepping it, getting together sides and dressings and all that shit, and then box it and bag it. They typically get less space than the waiters to do all of that, and when there's 10 $200+ orders in at the same time it can get pretty crazy.
But yeah, 1-2 dollars on a 20 dollar meal would be super-appreciated, and if you use takeout regularly the takeout people there WILL remember that you tip, and will make more of an effort to not forget your shit, and remember your habits.
That said I don't fucking tip those clowns.
I usually dump my change and/or a buck or two in the tip jars at the places that I pick up food from enough that they know me. I get treated well and I want them to know I really do appreciate it.
But no, it's not an "always" thing.
I wonder at what point those added bugs and shit affects the nutritional information.
Yeah, most of you with your excuses on why you don't tip are coming off kinda cheap to me. And... since I don't want to be like that, I do believe I shall just err on the side of generosity, and make it a habit to tip, at least at restaurants I regularly visit.
I usually will leave 5 dollars on 20 for takeout. And if I eat in and the service is great 40-50% is not out of the question. I once took out all my sales reps in Cleveland to the Bluepoint and tipped the waitress 200 bucks of my own money because she was fucking awesome in handling 12 crazy fuckers. I do it because my dad and granpa did it. You share the wealth.
