Here's my take on the Trek movies:
1: Sloppy and boring
2: One of the greatest movies ever made
3: Has some great scenes (such as the Enterprise destruct scene and the David execution) but too much sloppy nonsense to classify it as great
4: Again, some great scenes but so sloppy and lame so much of the time. This one was almost a parody of Star Trek, what with Kirk saving whales in a bird of prey and all.
5: An abortion
6: My third-favorite Trek movie, I wouldn't mind calling this one great
7: When I was 14 I loved Generations but it was just so goofy. The Kirk stuff at the end was uber-lame
8: One of the greatest movies ever made
9: Almost as bad as V
10: Forgettable trash
Episodes 1-3 mean Trek wins.
Hey Spo, what makes 9 so bad? Is it the whole theme of the Briarpatch & its people, the fact that Picard's role seems to have grown Kirk-sized, or is it the special weapon Riker uses to control the Enterprise-E towards the end?
Babylon 5 is the shit. Could have used a bigger budget though...

I can't even fucking look at Darth Vader without having "NOOOOOO" come to mind. He's a punchline now.
