Star Wars vs. Star Trek?

DS9 was indeed fantastic... from about season 3 till the end.

Quark is my all time fav Star Trek character. Every Ferengi heavy episode was great.

Yeah, I think the slow start is why most people think it sucks.

I loved DS9. I agree Season 3 to the end was fantastic. And yes the slow start did hinder the show, but when it finally got going ... whoa.

Fuck the Special Editions, all cartoons, Ewok movies, Christmas specials, novels (post Zahn trilogy), gross exploitation in retail merchandising, and the shitty games (excepting X-Wing, TIE Fighter, or XvT).

I dunno why, but I *really* like ST:Enterprise in syndication on HDNet. Yeah, yeah temporal bullshit here but I enjoy seeing a new Trek that isn't all annoying like DS9 or "we always instantly have a solution to every problem!" like Voyager.

This discussion is pointless (console wars, imo) but I <3 Star Wars (IV-VI) more than the other options. TNG is a very close second though. Anyone who disagrees sucks.

The Zahn Trilogy is serious fucking business. Better than all the trek books I've read, and I've read (and still have) all the ST:TNG books up untl #130 or something.

I really like Enterprise as well. The 3rd season is probably the best Star Trek I've ever seen.

SW: EU is much win, but we're talking movies, tv and games so Star Trek just wins me out on character driven stories. DS9 season 3+ was it for me. TNG was great, sans the holodeck episodes. Those always made watch something else.
