I am breaking down and purchasing a PS3 just for this game alone, I love baseball games. KOF, the new animations for the foul balls is fucking nuts!
In order of playtime, here is how I rank baseball games saturn era up
1) High Heat 2003
2) MLB 08, the show
3) MVP Baseball
4) World Series Baseball (saturn)
1053) MLB 2K8
And as ana aside, front office manager is horrible, if you want a true baseball management sim, get Out of The Park Baseball O9.

I have heard nothing but bad things about Front Office Manager.
Definitely get PS3 and this game. Maybe I trade in my last year copy and get this so we can play some games online.
Deal, I'm going to look for a used ps3 because I don't need a blue ray player and I hate the post nes metal gear series.

Yeah this is hands down the best single-player sports franchise going right now.
I've always liked arcade baseball more than real baseball, though, so it's not really for me.
But I can appreciate how awesome it is, regardless.
Shame that it's stuck on the PS3 where not a lot of people are going to see it.
You can make MLB more arcadey in the hitting department. In fact, that's how I tend to tweak the settings for the batting. Pitching is fun too with the golf like meter. If you love baseball getting a PS3 to play this game is *almost* worth it.
I like sim KOF, if we're playing it's straight sim style dude.
And for all you guys who don't own a PS3, this is coming out on PS2 and is just as awesome minue the graphics.
I can't judge pitches very well, so at least I have a shot at hitting the ball if it is just timing based. I tend to swing at anything anyway.
