My pinball of the Dead impressions
I've heard this game compared to Devil's Crush, and heard people cite it as an influence, but I've found this to be quite the understement: Pinball of the Dead is a blatant and unapologetic Devil's Crush clone. I'm not going to dance around that fact.
It is however, a pretty good DEvil's Crush clone. The biggest difference is the speed. Like DC, PotD has two speed settings, but PotD's fast setting is roughly equivelent to DC's slow. The tables are nicely designed, and absolutely loaded. The boss fights are pretty snazzy as well. 3 tables might not be alot, but they're diverse enough to keep it interesting.
I like the game quite a bit. IT's not as good as Devil's Crush, but it's definately good enough to have some staying power, and until we get a real sequel to Devil's Crush, this game will do the job nicely.
Also, EGM are lying whores. Despite theeir claim that they never review unfinished games, they were wrong about the game's lack of a battery save. It does indeed have 4 slots of SRAM saving goodness.
