Neat. Just try to avoid taking all of them on GoW. ;)
That's a bad project, ElCapitan. 10 awesome pictures are worth more than 10,000 shitty ones. Concentrate on taking great pictures about things you want to remember. Otherwise you'll have a bunch of pictures of things you won't remember. And Jason take your shit out of Artist's Block with Yellerdog, please. Yellerdog has contributed a lot to this portion of the forum and you have yet to post anything worthwhile in here, artistically. So I give him some leeway when it comes to off-topic posts. Spam the other boards. Leave Artists Block for creative discussion.
What if he's interested in everything? It'd be better if he concentrates on all of them and picks out the good ones, no?
Yeah, that's true. Good photographers do take a lot of pictures. I just know from experience that when you go on trips and take a bunch of pictures you look at them once and then that's it. Try to really work on a few of the same thing to get some great shots you can maybe print out for a wall piece or something. You'll remember it a lot more vividly that way.
Don't worry, I was exaggerating. I'll be there for 3 weeks, I have a 4gb CF card, and will have my macbook pro and a 500gb external HDD, so there are no worries on any front. I'm no professional photographer, but I know not to rush it and take as many pictures as necessary of the same thing if I feel I have to.
That was from last week Drewbacca, then you dug it back up so I responded but I do apologize (to the room) for the off topic posts.
regarding ElCapitans project, it usually takes 10,000 pictures in order to get 10 good ones (in my experiences) so I say shoot away. I'm going to have to go through this process when the time for my album pics come about (very shortly).
If anybody here has any tips for what they feel makes up a great album I'm all ears. # of tracks, ratio of faster songs to slower ones... even if you haven't made an album before, what do you look for in an album?
Trust me, I will have more than 10 good pictures. In the span of 3 weeks taking at least 100 pictures a day, I will at least have 12 maybe 13 good pictures out of it all.
The rest will be happy memories...
...or easily sold to porn sites for MAD YEN.
I've been getting back into life drawing in a big way. Outside of my job-related drawing (I work for Disney now - who knew?), I haven't done much in terms of projects.
Oh, I did draw Dudley from SF3 for the Udon book coming out in July. Didn't get in so here's a peek at it.
