You forgot FF8 disc 1. Totally brilliant rpg that was going places. Somehow they fucked up the other 3 discs.

It's hard for me to make a list like this considering how the genre ages and having not played most of them in a decade. I don't consider games like SotN part of the genre, and even SRPGs I usually like to discuss separately.
I am currently replaying Xenogears which was my favourite PS1 RPG and probably still is. I don't normally like JRPGs for their stories but Xeno's is surprisingly deep and suspenseful. Suikoden II is my second choice.
I have been wanting to replay Parasite Eve again to see how it holds up.
And I can understand why people love Vagrant Story and Valkyrie Profile as they're unique and have awesome artwork. I just couldn't get into them.
Seems pretty innocuous compared to the one that featured a bunch of crazy emos cloned from an alien that crashed in a meteorite thousands of years prior.Quote:
