Looking at the scan above, I'm not sure it's a SRPG actually. It looks to be menu-driven turn based. I know that's what the last game's battle turned into once you initiated the battle on the field, but this one looks different.

Very true! Auto-labeling it an SRPG was a Pavlovian reaction to seeing Idea Factory, brightly-colored hair, and doe-eyes.

It probably has an even better shot of being picked up if it is indeed sans "S".

I understand where he's coming from, but my argument is that SRPG's have come a long way in the US since NxC's Japanese release. Now that companies like O3 and XSEED have found foothold in the market, an NxC-style entourage SRPG has a better shot at getting picked up today than it did a few years ago.
