Tank in the Goat is 18 gallons and a fill-up is usually 16 gallons. That's the $65 fill-up I was referring to. Should've clarified.

Motorcycle tank is only 4.8 gallons and fill-up is usually 3.5ish, or $10-15.

Both tanks last me about a week and a half, assuming I use one vehicle exclusively for commute, though the bike does fewer miles in that week and a half of commuting 'cause if I drive the car I end up driving people to lunch. Bike's tank last about 200 miles, car's about 300 (400 if it's all highway).

Needless to say, I'm glad to have the bike since just before gas crept past $4 a gallon here. I'm sure it's partly due to my newness to bikes and tending to notice them more now, but I've seen a lot more bikes and scooters on the roads lately than I have in recent memory. Good way to give the oil companies less money and still enjoy the commute.

You better be putting 93 in that fucking thing. I can't tell you how many yuppy douche bags I've seen with Jaguar's that put fucking regular in it, cheap mother fuckers. Hope they love changing their cats often.

Premiummmmm, I buy gas in north county while im at school cause its usually 20 cents cheaper up there then here at home.

There are a couple stations here that overcharge by $.50+. I have no idea how they get away with it. I've never even seen a car at one of them. But you can drive a block away and get a normal price. What I think is really wierd is I've noticed that gas almost always costs more in the poorer neighborhoods in LA than the well off ones.

We don't have 93 in California :( Just weak ass 91.

Though unless your car requires premium (or is "recommended" by the manufacturer), there's no reason to buy anything more than the base. There is absolutely no benefit to putting 91/93 octane gas in a car that's tuned for just 87.

Word up. Mine says, and I don't quote because I'm not near my car, PREMIUM FUEL RECOMMENDED. It'll run on less, but there's potential for knocking and definitely less mpg and power.

Actually 87 doesn't burn as clean as 93, your cats are going to end up dirtier. Plus I've always had sports/y cars. A car is like anything else, the better you take care of it, the longer it'll last you. I only run 93 and always use Mobile 1 for oil.

Higher octane actually means the gas is more reluctant to burn (requires more energy to ignite). So using premium in an engine not made for it could actually cause it to burn less clean.
