Gas Prices Suck

No one has any room to bitch about being poor if they're spending their money on unnecessary crap.

example: video games and dvds.

At least you don't live in Norway. And they pay by Litre, not by the gallon like our spoiled asses do here in the US.

Well there's a counter to that though right in the article, which is the fact that

Also I'd like to know what their average commute to work is. I know quite a few people bring up how much the British pay for gas but the average commute their is like 1/10th what it is in the US.

If I remember right (and it may have been brought up in this thread already) the average commute in the US to work is around 30 miles each way. Where as in the UK its something like 4 or 5.

All I know is that my commute sucks ass. I drive 32 miles each way for work and spend an average of 75 minutes in traffic (each way). I've been paying about $4.29/gal. for gas and average 30 mpg.

That commute is beyond brutal. This is why I will live and work in the city for as long as I remain a W-2 employee.

4 liters = 1 gallon, no? I pay $1 a liter, so I essentially pay $4 a gallon. It's much more damaging here, where the average salary is less than $20k a year.

It's about 3 and three quarters, but yes.
