Interview with the maker of the new F-Zero
"XenGamers: How is Super Monkey Ball 2 development going?
Nagoshi: We are just heading into the final leg before release.
XenGamers: The mini-games were a big attraction in the first game. How many can we expect in Super Monkey Ball 2?
Nagoshi: There will be 12 in all.
XenGamers: We saw Monkey Ball tennis and baseball mini-games on the E3 show floor demo. Are they based on Sega's arcade-style sports titles (Virtua Tennis, HomeRun King)?
Nagoshi: No, I wasn’t particularly thinking about those.
XenGamers: You're also working on F-Zero for the arcade and GameCube, Are there any differences between Tri-Force development and GameCube development? Is one more difficult to develop for?
Nagoshi: There are no differences. They are the same.
XenGamers: Will there be any customization options in F-Zero GC like there were in the 64 DD version (tracks, etc.)?
Nagoshi: The details of the game are still secret.
XenGamers: Is there another Daytona USA in development for the Tri-Force?
Nagoshi: If we come up with any good new ideas, sure. But, we already did network play [for Daytona] with the Dreamcast. It would be no fun to just make a sequel for the sake of making it. If we get an idea for a solid driving game, we’ll do it though.
XenGamers: Lastly, will there be another F-Zero game for the GBA?
Nagoshi: We do not have one scheduled right now. We did have one planned, but we had to drop it to concentrate on the GameCube/Triforce versions."
Ah man, some intresting things, but he doesnt like to talk much eh? Perhaps something was lost in the translation.....
