I've migrated to a new computer and now projects I was working on from an old computer have horrid colors. What's the best solution for getting to a standard so most people will see things close to what I'm seeing?
I've started with the sRGB setting for my monitor, then did Adobe Gamma, but I don't think it's quite right yet.
There is some decent calibrating equipment out there (Spyder off the top of my head), although others (Josh) probably know some other or better methods. I really need to do this myself with all the photography and video editing I have bee doing.
Squint your eyes.
EDIT: Seriously, try spyder or something. My friend has it but he never opened it.

Spyder is probably the best way, if you want cheap and easy, you could try getting the DVE disc (Digital Video Essentials) if the new computer has a dvd drive and dvd playing software on it. Actually if you're doing stuff that's gonna go out to print then your best bet is probably to get the Pantone Huey. Bonus is it's cheaper than the Spyder.
