Verdict, A truly astonishing game. Vast, vivid and microscopically detailed. Dragon Age is the RPG of the decade

The gameplay trailer isn't great quality but it looks sick as hell. Definetly want to play this game.
Oh Jesus. That's the second great review I've seen. Shame that the game has had such shitty press, what with all of the Marilyn Manson trailers and day-one DLC and retailer-exclusive items.

I thought this looked insanely generic from the get go, but maybe it turned out to be awesome. The amount of good games hitting now is getting alarming.
Assuming the best version is the PC one.....anyone say otherwise?
According to Bioware, the PC version is actually pretty different from the console versions. More enemies onscreen, for instance. They gave an example: The PC version might throw 10 enemies at you in a particular fight while the console version will have two slightly-stronger waves of 5. To account for the more complex fights, the PC version gets an optional overhead Baldur's Gate-style camera and interface. The friendly-fire rules are different on PC as well.
This guy has been posting impressions of the PC and 360 versions. He says the 360 port is well-done but he's more interested in talking about the actual game. It's apparently pretty wide-open after the initial area and it's more difficult than you'd expect.
I've played the 360 version (at E3), and though they've cleaned up this version a bit from the vids I've seen of the final release, I really can't recommended it. Combat just feels awkward and unsatisfying on the console, while it looks pretty sweet on the PC. It's basically like playing an RTS on a console. It's more of a novelty than anything practical.
Thanks for the feedback, in line with what I thought so have preordered the PC LE.
This is in the wild, by the way.
Got it for 360 yesterday. Still havent really played it. First impressions are it looks like an Xbox 1 game.
