Ok, this is the thread where you can ask all of your tricky PS3 questions.

I got my PS3 secondhand, so I don't have the benefit of a precious "Users Manual" to answer things that should be obvious, but I am too stupid to figure out. I'll start with these:

1. How do I change my PSN user picture? Everyone else on my list has some cool picture, and I still have a square smilie. Whassup wit dat?

2. How do I transfer game data onto a memory stick or USB stick or something? Like, if I want to bring my custom Tekken character over to Chuxs house, or my Singstar profile.

1. Account management, hit triangle on your username in the friends list, or under network section of XMB, both located there.

2. Game-> Save Data -> TekkenCharacterSave, Hit triangle, copy, select the memory stick, boom. Same should apply to singstar (unless the save data is locked)

1. How can I see EVERYTHING that's on my HDD? Like, installed games, etc. And if I want to uninstall a game for space, can I?

This would have worked out well in the existing PS3 thread.
Spend time with the dash. Most of the shit your asking isn't even two layers deep.

Serious question:
My ps3 will accept and download pictures from my VIDEO camera, but will not accept the video formats (aka can't save the vids on my ps3). Is there a patch/update/anything I can get that will let it work?

Also youporn needs the newest flash player and it won't let me get it.

is it in DV format or is it in mpeg?

If you want to see everything in a flash card or drive, hit triangle -> then display all. It may be that the video files arent in the folders the PS3 is looking for.

Flash player is tied to the browser, sony will need to update it for the latest flash.

Installed game data is under Game>Game Data Utility, Gamesaves are under Game->Save Data utility. For your number total of remaining hard drive space go to Settings> System Settings >System Information.
