I remember drawing up very intricate maps on graph paper to complete SOLSTICE. I still have the game, but I have no idea what I did with those maps.

Ah, totally forgot; The Last Ninja. Isometric puzzle-like game originally for the Amiga.
Ikari Warriors and Prisoners of War, to top off SNK games. They're arcade ports, but still fun.
Originally for the C64 and not really playable in any form.
NZE will disagree with me, but I think The Last Ninja is all style and no substance.
Well, the NES version (which is actually Last Ninja 2 despite the name) doesn't have style or substance. The controls, art, and music are all butchered. I don't care much for the Amiga/ST version either.
As a general rule, I would avoid computer game ports on the NES. There are a few that are pretty faithful to the originals (like MULE) but many are downgraded, or censored (like Maniac Mansion), remade with worse gameplay (like Archon), or oddly Japanified (like Ultima IV).
Iron Tank sucks so much.
Get Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers 2, Ducktales, The Wall Street Kid, Ninja Turtles, Megaman 1 and 2, Ninja Gaiden, Rolling Thunder etc.
Oh yeah also Wizards and Warriors. Good luck not getting hit every 2 seconds!
Ch Ch Ch Chip and Dale's
RESCUE RANGERS!
Ducktales is awesome too.
Mm. Someone should mention it.
