Hat-throwing puzzles made Heavenly Sword exciting!
They need to make a game where you're the bad guy trying to not get caught by The Batman. Also Prince of Persia is a great foundational engine for a game like Batman. Lots of platforming combined with bursts of violent combat. This game doesn't look all that impressive. If it didn't have the Batman logo anywhere near it nobody would even be paying attention.
No, they don't need to fuck up Batman by tainting it with anything from Prince of Persia. I like your bad guy idea though.
It just seems that no matter how hard they try nobody will ever be able to capture The Batman properly in a videogame. Because it's not believable any thug would even have the balls to step up with fists drawn to him. And furthermore he'd never even land a single punch. So turn the game around and make a new super villain the player can mold to outsmart or atleast out-flee the Batman.
I haven't played the new Prince of Persia shit. I just like the way you can interact with the environment in the first new one I played (Sands of Time, I think). Some kind of environment interaction would be fun so long as it wasn't just him running up walls with spikes coming out after he passes by or whatever they're doing now in that series.
this game looks mighty rowdy so far

Here is a new video of Batman: Arkham Asylum. It's looking like it will be a very solid title. Maybe the best effort for a superhero game since Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.
