Arrested Development Season 4 (IT'S ON), Film (IT'S ON)

I think a lot of the backlash is because they put their absolute worst foot forward. Michael's always been the show's straight man, the first episode just ratchets up his character flaws to 11 and casts him headlong into Homer Simpson levels of ineptitude and stupidity.

I don't see that, but okay.

Finished it. I enjoyed the end.

Finished this up tonight. Loved it. I loved the jumping around and seeing things from different perspectives. It was like there were a billion little easter eggs all over the place, and made funny moments from earlier episodes even funnier. I hope this does insanely well and they decide to do another season rather than a movie. They had so much great content in this season (even if it was just seeing the same thing from a different perspective) that a movie could never show a satisfying amount of story.

This kinda subconsciously bothered me and I didn't realize it. I figured I always just overestimated his character back in the day, but looking back I think you are right.

I think a bigger part of it is Michael always thinking he's above the rest of his family when he actually belongs far more than he'd like to admit.

I agree. It extends to the whole family, they all orbit each other no matter what they do. Finished this up last night and liked it a lot. Incredibly creative with a wild plot that fits these characters. Interesting way to present it, the jumping around made for some great bring back jokes. You could hear/see something in one episode and then later get the punchline for it (Maeby's episode in particular). It got better as it went too, Buster's episode being my favorite. Worth the wait,I hope they get to continue where they left off in another season.

I am glad not everyone is being an assclown about this. It was pretty damn awesome

Yeah. My friends and I found ourselves doing the, "Oh man, I can't wait to find out what that was about!" after some scenes.

Overall I think the Maeby and Gob 2 episodes were the best.

The last few episodes made up for the first few. It wasn't exactly the same as the original, but that's ok. Overall, really funny and i enjoyed that they used Lucille 2 a lot more because she's my favorite.
