Cow, I think the one thing about patrolling is this: Countries give you money for doing things around them, even if you don't do a mission there. Sending a ship out there a few times, when there's activity = more fundage in the long run.

Good News:
It's Feb 14th, we have 12 Plasma Rilfles and can use them, along with an all new squad who aren't tired and it's likely going to be a day mission for #5.

Bad News:
It's a terror ship, we need a Navagator or a Leader alive, and the only means of stunning are Stun Rods (Small Launchers won't be ready for another week or so).
