I tried to find some info about the 360 region stance and came up blank, but I still have some hazy memory about MS people discussing regionless games before. I don't know why.

I also tried to look up on how to make a 360 region free by a hack and didn't get very far on that either. You mean to tell me there's no viable chip or method out there to mod the thing? How did MS manage to make the 360 so airtight?

I wouldn't be against getting a 360 and some shooters if I could get a US one for cheap and hack it. I don't give a shit about XBL, and a hacked US 360 dying is still cheaper than a Japanese unhacked 360 dying. So where's the chip? Or a disc?

I believe you can change the region coding on an ISO using some software similar to how Saturn piracy works. Playing copied games require some DVD drive firmware hack. I'm not well-versed in 360 mods so someone else could probably give you a better answer.

I'm bugged about the shooters not coming to PS3 due to the region issue as well, because the prospect of buying a Japanese 360 doesn't sit well with me. Don't know what the hell I'll do when it's dead.

But that said, all the other news has been pretty rockin' re: XBLA games, KOF02UM, more KOF XII info. The 360 port for Tekken 6 is smart as hell considering how the fanbase seems to have dwindled in the US, but I wish they'd give us regular Tekken 6 in the meantime and not make us wait yet another year to play it at home at all. It's insanely frustrating considering that I probably won't get to touch the game at all until the home version. And that says nothing about when a US release will be. At least they didn't stick it on PSP exclusively for a while like DR, I guess.

Truth be told, I havnt cared about other regions since I started liking what was on the Xbox. Japan never gave a shit about me so I dont care about Japan.

I finally bought the Raiden games for 360. Not the system yet because I just wanted to make sue I could get the games.

Ok rather what Grave said. So far with the stuff that Microsoft is doing, I am satisfied as a gamer. Moreso than any other console. So if the majority of my stuff isnt on the other side of some region programming then I am cool.

VF5 is garbage. Utterly bug ridden and inconsistent hit boxes....it was a failure. R is better but still has its share of game balance problems.
