Oooo, this is a tough one. Normally, I'd vote for Gears 2, but SSF2T: HD Remix is spectacular. I'm going to have think hard on this one.
I'm leaning toward Mirror's Edge.
L4D is great, but a step behind Gears 2 and Mirror's, and Gears 2 is a good refinement whereas Mirror's Edge is a great new game.
