Death or no death? Maybe going to prison for life with no parole would actually be the tougher punishment for him. He'd have plenty of time for his guilty conscience to eat at him.
Halo 3 shouldn't take the blame. It could've happened over any title. It's all that kid's fault. H3's violence and gore aren't that intense, and it actually looks tame compared to F.E.A.R. & GoW. IMO it lies right between a T and a M - and since the ESRB must choose one or the other they went with M. Call of Duty 4 actually seems more intense than H3.
I think the ESRB needs to add another rating category right in between T & M- T15+. Japan's CERO rating system has that sort of rating, called C.
Japan CERO ratings (a little more detailed, only missing the E10+)
A- Everyone
B- 12+
C- 15+
D- 17+ (what Halo 3 got in Japan, I'm surprised it wasn't just a C)
Z- 18+ Adults Only (Government enforced, it's illegal to sell the game to a minor.)
Fuck, post lost. Fuck it.
Well, when you shelter your kids over video games when they're nearly adults (along with all the other things the parents likely brought down on the kid), you usually raise an awkward and emotionally unstable kid (at least from what I've seen). Maybe the consquences of this shooting will help Americans better realize how to raise their kids and stop running around scared and stupid.
Maybe I'm wrong, I'm just getting completely the wrong vibe from the article. It doesn't justify shooting parents, but you can't really feel that bad over overprotecting parenting (likely thrown in with a good mix of religion) and ignorance to the world resulting in bringing up a monster of a kid.
Boom headshot?
