I've seen it at the store a few times. I figured it was the same shit, just like Harp puts a different label on for St Paddy's.
And I agree with Hubb, Sam Smith's Oatmeal is delicious.

See, I've had the Sam Smiths and I didn't enjoy it. One of those things I guess.
Le Merle.

Very fruity, bright, and summery, with a nice hoppiness to finish things out. I requested it a few months back at my favorite liquor store, and they ordered it for me and called when it was in. I thought that was pretty cool of them.
Yesterday I went to this restaurant that served beer floats. It was a pint of Old Rasputin + salty white chocolate ice cream. It was amazing. I tried recreating it myself just now with Guinness and vanilla ice cream I had in the freezer, but it was only decent. It wasn't nearly as good as the one I had yesterday.
I've always considered a scoop of ice cream in the chocolate stouts, but I've never actually gone through with it.
No offense Tones, but Le Merle is one half-assed saison. Real saison tastes like pussy.
Brooklyn black ops/black choc stout + vanilla ice cream = sex
I once saw on a cooking show a guy make "beeramisu" with chocolate stout.
