I'm not saying it's "chick flicky" or anything, but whatever the reason, it attracts a predominantly female audience. Maybe just because it's a show with a lot of sex and virtually no violence. I don't know. But the demo definitely skews female.Quote:

I think the overall themes presented resound strongly with men, too, especially with a guy like Don Draper. In a world that is becoming more and more feminized there's a comfort found in the show.Quote:

This was my first time watching Mad Men when it airs on TV (I watched seasons 1 - 4 over the past few months), and for some reason this is the kind of show that I enjoyed so much more when it aired on the actual channel vs watching it with back to back episodes on Netflix. I think it's because of how character driven it is, I had a tendency to get a bit bored watching a few episodes in a row. So this whole 1 episode a week thing I could get used to for Mad Men.
