I think thats really cold, Bacon. For someone as far down the road to buttfuckinsaneville as this guy, I don't see this as murder so much as a huge tragedy, like a car accident. Its not this mans fault that nobody gave him the mental care he desperately needed.

Murdering three people in cold blood and mutilating their corpses is not a huge tragedy? You can't possibly be serious. Seek help immediately.

I said it was a huge tragedy.

And obviously the man was completely sane, carving out the heart of his kid.

I'm going to a movie in a few minutes, but here's the short version: My cousin killed his gf, cut out the fetus inside her and ate some of it.

He's in an asylum, but occasionally gets out for holidays with the family. After being medicated he's of no danger to society but still has a debt to pay according to the state of Georgia.

He lost his mind, and that wasn't his fault.

I really don't see how insanity is a point in favor of keeping someone around. Someone who killed three people out of nowhere is an impossible sell to ever reintroduce to society no matter how much they might be "cured". All he's ever going to do for the rest of his life is sit in a miserable cell and waste taxpayer money.

Yeah, you're right - I should just forget about him and have him killed.

When you start talking about people as a numbers game you lose the argument.
