XBLA has only existed for a few years. It wouldn't take a slide rule or a graphing calculator to figure out how long you've been waiting.

The is such awesome news. XBLA is knocking it out of the park. Ive always wanted to play this game against people who actually knew how to play it. Trying to teach this game to friends all those years ago didnt work out so well. I bet those Gamefan writers are going apeshit. Im going to bust out the Saturn original and give it another spin...
I'm going to suck since I never owned it at home.
I'm gonna get this too, I could never get into the Dreamcast game because of the control, but I could tell it was good. I just hope the learning curve is fairly gentle.
Upon reading this,
I vomitted and ejaculated at the same time!
Best gaming news in a LONG TIME. BTW, people pissing about twin sticks need to eat shit. DC controls were not intuitive but worked their ass off. Jump cancels that took what like 4~5 frames if that? No one can move two sticks that fast. Watari dashes are fucking loads easier too when you don't have to move sticks to center.
I also loved the DC controller. Since I wasn't lucky enough to get any DC sticks, I kind of had to learn the DC Controller layout, and I think I might just prefer that setup over the twinsticks since I only played VOOT in the arcades maybe 10 times.
I also have a tendancy to be pretty violent with controlers so I didn't want to break a then $150+ controller that wasn't easy to fix
Also, Hail the watari dash! The only thing I liked better about the twinsticks is with Cypher attempting to control her SLC Dive was a pain in the ass for me on the DC but easy with the twinsticks.
I revisited the Sega Ages VOOM release today, and I messed with the Playstation 2 Custom controller setting.
It's just like the Dreamcast VOOT setting, but with one small, awesome difference: the extra two shoulder buttons are rotation. This really is the only thing mechanically "missing" with the Dreamcast scheme when put up against the twin sticks. Sure, the analog stick is there and shit, but you have to fumble to rotate mid-dash.
Here's hoping that's in-tact in this upcoming port.
I own a set of Twin Sticks but I've never had a problem with the DC controls.
