No, the DS just has great games.

A Boy and His Blob has a hug button. It's quite possibly the cutest thing ever. Aaaawww....
Let's see what I remember from seeing it today- unlimited jellybeans, lots of checkpoints in the standard stages, 15 jellybean varieties of which 8 are chosen by the game for you prior to the level. Fully 2D handdrawn throughout, not a polygon to be seen. Full classic controller support and they're working on getting Gamecube controller support in there as well. 40 regular levels designed for the casual market and another 40 challenge levels that are much trickier, with zero checkpoints.
So yeah, looking great.

HUG BUTTON!
Yep. They just don't work for Nintendo.
I'm really looking forward to this one.
Did anyone pick this up yet? I bought it today using Toys R Us' Buy 2 Get 1 Free promo and put about an hour into it. I like it, but I wish in addition to the hug button (which really is too cute for it's own good) there was also a face-palm button so I could express my outrage in game when the blob does something stupid (Which is often).
Biggest pain in the ass is that each level has three treasures to collect, which the blob needs to grab for you, but he doesn't seem to grab it unless you're right next to the treasure with him. The trouble I'm facing is that some of the treasures are in areas that the boy can't reach (Such as a narrow passage that you can throw the blob-ball down). I'm going to look through the manual to see if maybe I'm not pushing some magical combination of buttons, but the blob just stands by the treasure and looks around rather than grabbing the damn thing.
I really hope I'm just missing something, because I want to enjoy this game (Besides this flaw, the game is very nice).
Another thing, in some of the levels there seem to be a lot of texture tearing on these 2D landscapes, which is inexcusable.
