Wow, I can't believe how much the story in this game sucked. Thanks, Kojima!
Still, they did a pretty good job at shutting up and staying out of the way of the game for the most part, barring the beginning and end. It's weird how level 1, 2, and 12 had all the plot, and everything else was just traveling.

Cinemas =/= plot. There was light plot throughout, just like golden era games.
So about that ending.
So white haired guy, who betrayed you calls you friend and is still alive. You turn into Dracula (which I had a feeling they would considering how much they talked about being broken mentally and finally not getting his wife back). Then it's in present day. So they can go two ways with this. Continue the story in present day and have techno versions of all the enemies. With wires and lights and generators sticking out of them (becuase you know we wouldn't keep the old style designs) or we could possibly have the next game between the 1st and the end. To explain Gabriels fall. Pretty cool seeing Slogra.
What was your playtime? Just curious.
Probably around 10-15 hours. I went back before the ending to get some more items. If there's an in-game clock I could check it later if you want.
Also, the music for the clock tower stage is very LOSTish. I loved how the music box melody (from playing the cylinders) was the Castlevania 1 first stage theme. I have the soundtrack on my PS3 and just let the system music player sit at the planet earth visualizer every so often.
I started going back to play on Paladin and to get missed items and trials. I never went back at all on the initial play through, so I'm getting all the weapon upgrades that will probably make Paladin too easy. I am at 67% overall completion now out of 110% total. The best thing so far is having the boots and wings for the bog. No more muck wading!
Got out of work an hour early, grabbed this, and the wife is sick on the couch in my game room.
She is NEVER in the game room. Irritated.
What's the problem? Grab her by the ankles and start pulling. She won't have the strength to resist much (as I'm sure you are already used to). Quite contaminating the entire joint!
