I thought MP2 was actually pretty good -- that is until you hit the end-of-game fetch quest to find about 8 invisible objects. What a bunch of BS.
Prime 2 was the only one I never finished, mostly because the light/dark world was, if anything, annoying. Game was still fun, as 1 and 3 were, but annoying to the point of not wanting to play it anymore. And I disagree about the color issue, play 3 again, but with your eyes open.
Fusion is still fun and easy to play, but I have to say Super Metroid is still the 2D benchmark imo. I'm pissed I never played 2 on Gameboy, I heard it was fantastic.
Unless they go the way of Castlvania and make a god aweful fighting game, Metroid really can't do much wrong in my eyes. They are all fun to play no matter what, and that's what fucking matters.
My buddy stands by it as the king of the 2D Metroids alongside Super. I've watched him play it, I didn't really care to try after.
Fuck no, I beat it w/ no maps or anything and it was a chore. I still liked it but I would not do it again.
Samus shouldn't talk because that's takes away from the player immersion. Link should never speak either.
Samus should also not engage in such ninja shit. Sure she was always highly maneuverable but I can't remember her doing ANY close quarter combat shit.
next up we need dialogue by link in the zelda games.
lol whatever. Playing as a mute doesn't immerse me any more than playing as a stupid schmuck.
It's fucking weird that I can imagine responses to all the things people say to the character, but all I see is all these characters opening themselves up and reacting super strangely to a goddamn MUTE. These are games which RELY on story. It's not like CoD where you're just flung into some action.
