I tried this last night, it didn't seem that bad. Only played 1 level though. Bit more complex than I expected, which could be a positive or a negative.
The broadcast mode looked really intriguing at least.
Dead Nation is such trash. The controls are still stupid and it still runs at 30 FPS. What's the point?
With some tweaking it could be a fun game
For me the 'trash' category wouldn't be redeemable with some tweaking, but I can understand people not liking it.
The design seems kind of shoddy. The main gun is a bit too good, and since the alt guns have limited ammo and need a lot upgrades, its hard to use them enough to see if they're worth spending money on upgrades. Getting all the 'loot' means opening a bunch of stupid car trunks, which can get blown up offscreen, with no way for you to check progress mid level, also shitty. If you aim well with your first few shots, you can clear a pack very easily, but if you miss those same few shots you get really screwed. But that's probably where the other weapons are supposed to come into play, so I'm probably doing it wrong.
All in all pretty mediocre.
