Regardless of allegations, the situation in Iran is in support of change and I feel that the US needs to support the "opposition". Things may not get better over night, but in due time they will (hopefully).
You're collecting data on the fringe...even the United States government is saying the other guy won, along with a shitload of Iranians who've been marching in the streets. I'm not really advocating supporting a "supposed" terrorist but ousting the current leader could maybe lead to events of the getting rid of of the ayatollah as well.
The United States is not saying Mousavi won. A few people in the United States are speculating that Mousavi may have won, and a whole bunch of people are confusing "Ahmadinejad" with "Cobra Commander" and thinking the people of Iran (who think just like the people of America) would never elect Cobra Commander as president.
The whole deal is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei being kind of a jerk and Ahmadenijad going on about the west having anything to do with this. Going off CoconutKid, if the 2000 US election had caused huge peaceful peaceful meaning attacking policemen and setting buses on fire protests in Washington, what would've happened?
I would have been up for burning a cop car and punching a judge in 2000, but no one was interested.
You should have come to Philadelphia when the Phillies won the Series last year.
Edit: To PBMax:
It's unlikely that people would be flooding the streets and risking death at the hands of an oppressive government if there wasn't anything fishy about the election. I knew from the beginning that the "other guy" was never going to win because the country is ruled mostly by the ayatollah and he's a fucking bastard. The whole point is, it doesn't matter who won, but the results of the election will hopefully facilitate change in the country in a more positive and progressive direction.
