Do you even know what you're talking about?
protip: you don't

It'd probably just melt if they put it inside.
I know exactly what I'm talking about. I mean that the music is composed for MIDI and is MIDI in the Wii version to fit within the space limitations. The PC version uses MIDI renders with higher quality samples (supposedly) but it's not live instrumentation and it still sounds like MIDI. In Sam & Max they had actual studio musicians playing the music.
Tell me more about what MIDI sounds like.
Artificial. Obviously there's not one specific MIDI sound, but I can tell the difference between a synthesizer and a live band.
I'm not using MIDI to mean "chiptune" or some shit. I do understand what it is and I know what I'm talking about, here.
THE WIFI WOULD MELT THAT IS
You're wrong. You don't understand what you're talking about, here.
So tell me more about what MIDI sounds like.Quote:
MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is an industry-standard protocol defined in 1982[1] that enables electronic musical instruments such as keyboard controllers, computers, and other electronic equipment to communicate, control, and synchronize with each other. MIDI allows computers, synthesizers, MIDI controllers, sound cards, samplers and drum machines to control one another, and to exchange system data. — it transmits "event messages" such as the pitch and intensity of musical notes to play, control signals for parameters such as volume, vibrato and panning, cues, and clock signals to set the tempo. As an electronic protocol, it is notable for its widespread adoption throughout the industry.
No, you don't understand what I'm talking about, man.
I know EXACTLY what the fuck MIDI is, where it came from, how it works. I've got 100 soundfonts on my hardrive, MIDI rendering apps, and a MIDI keyboard. I've been fucking with MIDI music and different custom samples ever since I got my Gravis Ultrasound back in 1995. I know what the fuck MIDI is and I never said anything to contradict anything in that definition. I didn't say what MIDI sounds like, I said what it DOESN'T sound like.
If I compose something in MIDI, I can make it sound 100 different ways, but none of them are going to pass for a real band playing live instruments in a studio. I can hear the difference between something composed and played back on a computer and a real band.
What if you composed it using all live samples?
p.s. you're getting trolled hard.
