I remember seeing the commercials for the Wizard when I was young, and I wanted to see it so bad just to get an early look at Super Mario Brothers 3. I actually still haven't watched it from beginning to end either.

You guys are letting you oppinions of certain players get in the way...
Have you ever met Kobe Bryant?
Whats wrong with being a great player AND beng ultra confident?
I remember another player that was like that and people said the same type of stuff... his name was Michael Jordan...
I also ran into Glen Rice at the Roy Jones Jr. fight in Miami some months back after talking with some of Roy Jones's corner men for a minute.
While all the other celebs spread like roaches after the fight trying to avoid fans at all costs, Glen Rice walked right into the crowd signing autographs and just being friendly with his fans.
I didnt have anything ready but he scribbled his autograph on a piece of paper for me and chatted for several minutes.
He was even nice enough to stay nice and STILL sign an autograph for some ass clown that insulted him and the team hes playing for now.
Well I am pretty Michael Jordan was an ass at first as well, but it seems Space Jam cleared all that up. Plus Jordan had (probably still does) a horriable gambling problem, so he was most likely all mad about that. Plus I did not say Kobe stinks at basketball, I just said he is a douche bag cocky asshole. And whats wrong with being a great player AND being ultra confident? You come off as a major jerk. I don't want a player to come up to a camera crew before a game and say, "Oh man I am gunna go out there and score like 30 points, and do like 14 assists, and do some wicked ass slam dunks, you know real crazy shit!" and then do it. I want him to say, "Well I am going to try my best out there, we got a good team, I think we can pull through." And THEN score 30 points, 14 assists, and some crazy slam dunks. Its called sportsman ship. Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time in my opinion, but that does not make him the best person in the world. I am sure during games against teams like the Nuggets when he was still with the Bulls Jordan would go up to Pippen and go, "Man why the hell do we got to play these jerk offs, I could do 2 Nike commercials right now and then hit vegas, lose a ton of money and then get drunk in my hotel room!" But he did not tell this stuff to say Jim Gret from the NBA on NBC. Now I know Kobe has not said the stuff I am saying, but I have seen interveiws where I think he was just talking to a mirror, same with Shaq. I watched a interveiw with the Shaq Attack during the playoffs and Shaq just comes out and goes, "No one can do what I do." Well I guess you right no one could make nearly as much money playing college ball as you. Oh you meant your basketball skill. Well you know now you just sound like and ass, and when you wake up tomarrow I hope your feet shrink down to a size 7, lets see you knock people to the ground and step on them while make one of your "amazing" slow slam dunks while the ref is busy starring at Heather Lockleir, when you can't even walk your cave man like body to the bathroom adorned with un-purchased Kazam figurines. Shaq's a jerk, and Kobes a Jerk. I don't like them, and I don't like the Lakers. I hope the Staples Center breaks off California and floats away into the Pacific ocean.Quote:

And there you have it....
You just shot down your whole arguement with the blinding hate you displayed for the Lakers.
What team of yours did they spank so hard as to forever imbed hate for them in your mind?
And your main arguement is that you dont like them for the fact that they dont say cookie cutter crap like most other players.
Come back with something better then that my friend.
:D
Um, I used to live in Sacramento...
As far as Kings versus Lakers... I'm just shocked that O'Neal is allowed to play the game. Every time he gets the ball, he does something at least questionable, and about two out of five times, I'd say he deserves foul. I'm not pro ref, but I'm also not the only guy in the world who thinks Shaq gets away with everything just short of murder.
The Kings played some great basketball at some parts, and got huge leads... and then lost them. I don't recall which game it was, but they were up by more than twenty, and at the half some Laker guy made a three-pointer that shouldn't have counted (after the clock). At that time, it didn't matter. Then the Kings started stinking hard and the Lakers ended up winning by a point. D'oh. I'd say that's a joint effort by the Kings and the refs there.
Oh, if you haven't gone to Sacramento yet, the arcade to visit is The Gameroom. It's in Folsom, just outside of Sacramento - take 50 going east, take the Folsom Blvd exit going north, and turn right on Iron Point Rd (it's the first intersection after the off-ramp, I believe). There's an outlet mall, a theater, and The Gameroom right there. They've got DDR and plenty of Street Fighter (and air hockey!).
