Videos for it look good. I enjoyed NSMB DS, no where's near as good as SMB3 or YI but then again very few platformers are. I plan on picking this up. Its a shame that more companies aren't even attempting to make 2d playing platformers any more. I really hope the rumors of a new console 2D Sonic game are true.
You guys played Giana Sisters DS? It's a quality 2d Mario-ish game, and better than the original Giana.
The other franchises by other developers you're probably thinking of here are, at very least, reusing assets and featuresets that people felt were impressive and befitting of a full-price console game the first time around. Here you've got recycled assets from a game that cost $20 less, assets which didn't really even wow people in that original context, most regarding them as one of the game's weakest points.Quote:
